Is the DMV open today in Colorado?

In Colorado, driver licensing is handled by the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Department of Revenue. Its offices close on the state's holiday schedule below — and on weekends. If today isn't one of those, offices run normal business hours.

State driver license offices follow the Colorado state holiday schedule, while county motor vehicle offices that handle registrations and titles set their own hours.

Colorado closes for Frances Xavier Cabrini Day on the first Monday in October and does not close for Columbus Day.

The DMV does not post a holiday list of its own, so these dates come from the Calendar Year 2026 State of Colorado Holiday Schedule.
