Is the DMV open today in Louisiana?

In Louisiana, driver licensing is handled by the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV). Its offices close on the state's holiday schedule below — and on weekends. If today isn't one of those, offices run normal business hours.

Louisiana closes for Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras but has no Presidents Day or Columbus Day on its calendar, and the Friday after Thanksgiving is a normal workday.

Extra closure days are sometimes announced during the year, so check the OMV before a trip near a holiday.
