Is the DMV open today in Missouri?

In Missouri, driver licensing is handled by the Department of Revenue license offices. Its offices close on the state's holiday schedule below — and on weekends. If today isn't one of those, offices run normal business hours.

Holiday list taken from the state holiday schedule published by the Missouri Office of Administration; the Department of Revenue says license offices close on state holidays.

License offices are run by contractors, so everyday hours differ from town to town even though the holiday closings are the same.

July 4 falls on a Saturday in 2026, so offices close Friday, July 3. Missouri also takes two days no other state does: Lincoln's Birthday in February and Truman Day in May.
