FedEx runs three kinds of day. Six are full holidays — New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas — with no pickup and no delivery; FedEx Custom Critical, the freight service that runs every day of the year, is the only thing moving. Most of the rest of the federal calendar is what FedEx labels modified service: deliveries run, but on-call and drop-box pickups go early in some areas. Juneteenth is the one federal holiday FedEx works straight through as an ordinary day.
Translated plainly, a modified-service day means your package still arrives — just don't count on a late-day pickup. FedEx also stopped splitting its holiday list by service; there is now one FedEx status per day, so the sign above answers for your shipment whichever way it's traveling. The table below is the full schedule, checked date by date against the FedEx holiday service schedule. FedEx posts the coming year's dates in the fall, and next year's rows fill in here once it does.
