UPS keeps a short holiday list. Seven days a year there is no pickup and no delivery at all — New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Every other holiday on this page is a working day for the drivers: Presidents Day, Good Friday, Juneteenth, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, and Black Friday all get normal pickup and delivery, including the ones that close the post office, the banks, and every federal office in the country.
Two things are worth knowing before you read the table. UPS Express Critical, the emergency service, runs every day of the year — it is the one way to move something on a day UPS is otherwise shut. And on Presidents Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day, UPS Ground Saver and UPS Mail Innovations take one extra day, because the last leg of both rides with the Postal Service and the Postal Service is closed.
