Yes — UPS picks up and delivers the day after Thanksgiving.
Black Friday is a full UPS operating day. Scheduled pickups, on-call pickups, drop boxes, and delivery all run, and scheduled dates hold. It's the start of the heaviest stretch of the carrier year, not a day off.
The confusion comes from everything around it — Thursday was dark, plenty of offices give the Friday off, and schools are out. UPS is working. The post office runs a normal Friday too, so Ground Saver and Mail Innovations aren't held up either.
