No. No federal holiday falls in August, and the stock and bond markets close for nothing in it either. Banks, the post office, the exchanges, and federal offices keep ordinary hours the whole month — the only days they are shut are the weekends.
It is the one gap in the calendar this site covers, and it is worth saying out loud rather than leaving as a missing page: nothing on the federal list, nothing on the exchanges' own list, and none of the eve-and-after days that shift hours around a holiday. Payrolls, mail, settlement and branch hours all run their ordinary weekly pattern for the whole of August.
