Retail holiday hours sort into a few reliable camps. Costco publishes the strictest calendar in the business — seven full closures a year. Target, Publix, Lowe’s, Marshalls, and ALDI close every store for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (ALDI adds New Year’s Day). Walmart, Home Depot, and Kroger close for less — two days, or just Christmas. And the drugstores split the difference store by store, with pharmacy counters keeping shorter holiday hours than the stores around them.
