Costco publishes the clearest holiday calendar in retail: every U.S. warehouse closes on the same seven days — New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The closures are company policy, and they take the pharmacy, optical, food court, and gas station down with the warehouse.
The rest of the calendar is ordinary, with two eves worth knowing: Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve run shorter days at many warehouses. And Black Friday, contrary to the doorbuster image, is just a regular (very busy) Costco day.
