Are banks open today?
Banks keep ordinary hours every weekday except the holidays on the Federal Reserve schedule. Many branches also keep Saturday-morning hours, and almost all are closed Sunday. The bank sign at the top of this page reads the clock on your device and says which kind of day today is.
Are the markets open today?
The New York Stock Exchange trades 9:30am to 4pm Eastern on weekdays, except the closings on its own calendar, and it ends a few sessions early at 1pm ET — the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve among them. Market days and times are Eastern Time, so the market sign on this page runs on ET rather than on your own time zone.
Is mail delivered today?
The Postal Service delivers Monday through Saturday and closes on all eleven federal holidays — no delivery, no retail windows. Sunday has no regular delivery in the first place. The mail sign on this page says which of those today is.
Is the DMV open today?
That depends on your state — driver licensing is run state by state, and each state sets its own closing days on top of the federal list. The DMV page here says which states close for which holiday.
Are banks open tomorrow?
The tomorrow table on this page answers it for banks, mail, the markets, the carriers, federal offices, trash pickup and schools at once — it reads your own date, so "tomorrow" means tomorrow whenever you open the page.
